Students are responsible for checking art website/database to find assignments and turn them in by due date.
- Video On: Students will be asked if they would like to show art work, but students are not required to be On Video (Subject to change). As long as students are logging in, entering name in chat, completing and turning in all zoom live and independent projects they can stay on Video Off unless asked. If parents and students want to have Video On it is highly welcomed. (You must be logged in the entire time direct learning with teacher is happening on zoom. I will take screen shot of student’s names and if you are missing you will be marked absent. The Code of the Day will be announced randomly during class as your receive for attendance.)
- Set a Profile Picture: one of the student, animal/creature, cartoon character or art work. Keep it appropriate please. (Subject to change)
- Keep yourself On Mute unless asked to Unmute. Avoids background noise and distractions.
- Minimal Daily Supplies: At least sketchbook and pencil. Other supplies should be accessible.
- No Private Chats: All chats will be reviewed daily.
- No Bully/Safety Zone: Students will not spread Hate through images, chats or videos. Do not take video or photos of other student’s during our class. This is a private educational safe space and is not to be used for inappropriate entertainment. Private message teacher if you see, read or hear of these issues. All poor actions will receive DPS and or be reported to School Discipline Board.
With all that is happening please remember that we know everyone is adapting to this new platform. I’m enthusiastic that we can still learn, create art and share experiences together.
Thank you for your support and efforts. Let’s have a great year!
Your Art Teacher,
Ms. Barren
